When I was a little girl I made greeting cards for friends and family out of whatever I could find: note pads, construction paper, envelopes, cereal boxes, ball point pens, crayons, pictures cut from magazines... Basically if I could use it, I did.
As a teenager I made scrapbooks out of old binders, notebook paper, and rubber cement - long before I had heard of "scrapbooking."
When I discovered there was a whole industry devoted to scrapbooking, card making, and other sorts of paper crafting, I was in heaven. I've worked in scrapbook stores, taught classes, and , of course, I've collected lots and lots of products (can you say craft hoarder?)
Then I discovered Stampin' Up! I continue to be astounded by the high quality of their products. And I love how everything matches - no more searching the aisles of store after store looking for the right color cardstock to match my paper and embellishments. I love their products so much that I decided to become a demonstrator, at first just for the discount, but now I love sharing all the creative possibilities with others.
